Chapter Six: Hawkpaw

Hawkpaw watched as Bumblepaw left the hidden clearing.

Why? Why them and not me? Bumblepaw thought.

He was frustrated at Bumblepaw's sudden assumption that she wasn't loved by starclan. Of course she was! At least, that's what Riverpaw thought.

"Leafpaw" he growled. "Go and calm Bumblepaw down, and bring her back here" he meowed.

Fine, bossy paws. Thought leafpaw. But all she did was just nod, and dissapear into the bushes.
He looked at Riverpaw. His brothers eyes looked hurt.

Your such a softey, Hawkpaw thought at riverpaw, even though he couldn't hear him.

"Riverpaw." he asked. "What do you think about the prophecy?" he questioned. Riverpaw was the medicine cat apprentice, after all. Maybe he had a dream from starclan.

"N-nothing" he stammered, a little nervous. He was worried about Bumblepaw of course.

"Only that it's about us, but that's obvious" he added.

"O.k." Hawkpaw grumbled. "Do you want to hunt?" he said.
"Sure" Riverpaw replied, more steadily.

After some hunting, they caught 2 voles, a sparrow, and a magpie. "I wonder what's taking Leafpaw so long?" Riverpaw asked. "I don't know." was all that Hawkpaw said. He could tell riverpaw was starting to get worried. Suddenly, they heard a kit's cry.

"What was that?" Hawkpaw said.

"I don't know!" Riverpaw yowled, and they took off running towards the sound of the cry.

Chapter five: Bumblepaw

Bumblepaw followed her other siblings out of the camp and through the forest, and dawn was just breaking. Whereever they were going, they needed to be there fast, or they might be seen!

"What's this about, Hawkpaw?" she hissed to her brother.

"You'll see when we get there. Now be quiet or a patrol might hear you!" hawkpaw hissed back.

Suddenly, they were in a clearing, hidden by many layers of braken and brambles. Bumblepaw stared in awe. She'd never seen this place before, and none of the older cats talked about it, nor had showed her it. She vioced her thoughts aout loud.

"Where's this place? I've never seen this place before!:' she whispered to Hawkpaw, astonished.

"No one has, only me, but sence we all seem to have recieved this prophecy, we shouldn't keep secrets from each other", he glanced at leafpaw and Riverpaw.

Leafpaw and riverpaw seemed to agree with Hawkpaw, for they nodded at that. Bumblepaw just stared at them in disbelivement. "You guys really believe in that stuff?!?! There's nothing speacial about us.!!"

It was her sibling's turns to star at her like she's crazy. "Of cource we are!" Riverpaw mewed with certainty. "We recieved powers! We are all unique!"

"What?" Bumblepaw could barely make out in a whiper.

Suddenly Hawkpaw had a deep look in his eyes, staring right at her. Hurt filled his eyes. "You.....you never
got any powers, didn't you?" he meowed. "I can read minds" he said.

"I can see into the future" Riverpaw confesed shyly. "I can play with cats emotions" Leafpaw leaked out.

Bumblepaw took a step back. "You.... you all have powers? And not me" she was taken aback.

"Cheer up Bumblepaw! You just haven't gotten your powers yet! I'm sure you'll get them soon!" Riverpaw meowed. But Bumblepaw wan't listening, she just ran out of the clearing, upset.

Chapter Four: Leafpaw

Leafpaw was laying down moss in the nursery, inpatient. "How long are we going to do this, Smoketalon?" She asked. "Well do it until you stop complaining!" he growled.

Leafpaw shrunk back from her mentor's gaze, feeling ashamed. "Sorry." she mumbled through clenched teeth. Suddenly, she heard a yowl. "Rouges are attacking! Rouges are going to attack!" She soon realized it was Riverpaw.

Sweetberry, the deputy, come up on the darkstone, and adressed the clan, who were already sitting below, fearful yowls ripping through the air. "Listen!" Sweetberry meowed. "Riverpaw, how did you find out about this? Are you sure your not mistaken?" Riverpaw padded up vervously to the front of the crowd. "Y-yeah I er- saw them coming this way, sayign that they need to make sure no one saw them so they could attack.

She heard Hawkpaw hiss at that. Was it a lie? Howls of terror ripped through the air, and then it made her feel the same terror and fear. She felt the urge to protect the kits as much as a queen, and the worries of an apprentice from a mentor. It was so much, she couldn't take it anymore.

"Stop!" She yowled across the clearing. All eyes turned on Leafpaw as she sung those words clearly. "Look, everyone, it's okay, these are a bunch of rouges. We are a large clan of well trained cats! We could beat them! Let's not fear! Let's make them wish they never set a paw on our land!" Instantly, cheering went up out of all the cats, and Leafpaw felt the mood lighten. She sighed.

Then Hawkpaw came out of the bushes, followed by Riverpaw and Bumblepaw. Hawkpaw looked really mad. "Look, we need to talk." he hissed. And with that, they rushed out of the crowd
