Chapter Three: You have been Warned.

Automatically I leaped onto Grasseyes' back, digging my claws in and sinking my teeth into his ear. Briarpaw slipped out from underneath him, and then he flipped into his back, squashing me. The breath was driven out of me, and I felt suffocated. I clawed randomly, and claws met fur. Hopefully Grasseyes' but there was no strength behind my blow. I was going to die, I couldn't even breath. My throat was choked with hot fur. My whole life literally flashed before my eyes. What about my purpose? My revenge on the clans? How could I ever settle, where ever I go while Grasseyes had not yet paid for his murder. I bet he even killed before. I thought. Maybe there's more cats who want him dead too. Maybe the rest of the clan was like that too. Except for Briarpaw. I sunk my claws into Grasseyes. Too late, I thought.A dizzying blackness threatened to engulf me, but I fought back on it. But it blew me over until I was falling.. falling... into deeper, darker waters.

I slid out from under Grasseyes, catching my breath in a few heartbeats. How dare he attack me, his own clan-mate? How dare he attack Haze, who was innocent, no matter how much I knew he probably hated the whole clan, including me. I deserved that hate, though. I should have stopped him as soon as I was suspicious of his ambitions. It was all my fault, and I knew it. But I knew it was Grasseyes' fault as well. I sprung, prepared to attack Grasseyes again, knowing even thought he was a traitor, but I'd still betray my clan for attacking him. But it was for the good of the clan.
This made me freeze, confused. Should I help this rouge I just met, or should I keep my position in the clan and let Grasseyes handle him? I didn't know. Haze's eyes blazed as he dug his claws into Grasseyes spine.
Don't kill him! Yet... I begged silently. I wondered if Haze beat Grasseyes, would he come after me next? So his revenge can be completely satisfied?  I hoped not. Or maybe I did. I couldn't think straight as I watched Grasseyes flip onto his back, crushing Haze. I braced myself to hear a crack, but none came. Though the dark grey cat held him down, choking him. Suddenly something pinned me down from behind. I recognized the white and grey fur of Prickleflower, and a struggled from her grasp, clawing her as much as I could. Prickleflower winced, but her grip on me was too tight. I could barely crane my neck to see what was happening to Haze, but as soon I found a glimpse of his black fur, Prickleflower's paw pushed my head down, forcing me to watch as Haze went limp. His eyes rolled, and Grasseyes got off him.
I snarled in rage, clawing both of of Prickleflower's paws that were holding me down and she let go. I whirled around, my eyes gleaming with hate. Grasseyes was shocked, and took a step backward. He looked at Pricklenose as if to say. 'It's not even worth it.' I bared my teeth, taking a pace forward, a warning. But he bared his teeth as well. "You've been warned what happens if you speak out against me." he growled. "Don't even think of coming back to the clan now, your going to be a traitor in their eyes." he said, his eyes glinting in satisfaction. He turned away, running towards to direction of camp. After a moment's hesitation, Prickleflower followed. Which left me alone. I thought for a long while, wondering what to do. Become a kittypet? No way. I guess I'd have to be a rouge, living on my own. Then suddenly I remembered Haze, and rushed toward him. He was completely still, I couldn't even see the rise and fall of his chest. I sighed, feeling Grief. How do I care more about him more then my clan? I thought in horror. I just met him!
I was so confused, wondering what I should do with him. I couldn't take his body to the clan, no. I knew Grasseyes wasn't lying. I'd have to to something thought. I searched for the right this restlessly, but then it started to rain. I growled in frustration. It seemed Starclan has rained down on my parade, literally.
I dragged his body gently into shelter from the raging storm.
